Schlesier’s art education includes the Art Students League New York, Scottsdale Artists’ School.

Grace has a relentless determination to have each new painting better than the last. She feels that there is nothing stronger than nature, which influences each plein air image she creates, thus influencing more refined studio images. Her hope is that the viewer will “feel” the experience, a feeling of place.

As a member of Oil Painters of America, California Art Club, American Impressionists, Laguna Plein Air Painters, and the National Academy of Professional Plein Air Painters, her art career is well rounded. Recently, her award winning paintings have been exhibited in the Pepper Tree Art Show, Santa Ynez; Arts For the Parks, Jackson, WY; the National and Regional Oil Painters of America Shows, The Salmagundi, American Artists Professional League, Audubon and the National Arts Club at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY. Other museum shows include the Phippen, the Wickenburg of Arizona and the Springville in Utah.

Recent Publications highlighting Schlesiers’s work are a coffee table book entitled “Art of the American West”, “The Artists Blue Book”, International Artist included her painting “Mountain Air” in “How Did You Paint That-100 Ways to Paint the Landscape”; “The Artist” magazine highlighted her work in July ’99 and this past Sept/Oct 2004 “Skywest” the Delta and United Airlines in-flight magazine included a story about Grace and her love of the West reflected in her painting.

Corporate Collections include Utopia Inc. of San Diego, CA and Blanchard, Krasner and French, of La Jolla, CA.
