Parrish
A native Californian, Fayrene has been working as a painter, sculptor and
printmaker for more than 25 years with work in major corporate collections
throughout the United States, including the United States Government.
She is an Artist/Sculpture Member of the California Art Club; a member of the Oil
Painters of America, Laguna Plein Air Painters, and San Luis Obispo Painting
Enterprise. As a Childrenʼs Illustrator and Book Writers, she is a member of of

Limu Enique translates from Chumash as "woman of Santa Barbara Island."
Juan Cabrillo, in the late 1500’s, described the Chumash maidens in his diary as having bobbed hair and bangs, wearing animal skin tops and short skirts, and being finer featured than other natives they had met so far on their world circumnavigation.

Community involvement has been a major part of her art career:
In 2006 she coordinated ʻCarrizo on Canvasʼ a fund raiser for
one of our States newest National Monuments ʻCarrizo Plainsʼ. She has taught all
three mediums as invited instructor in the public school system as well as at
workshops in California, the Northwest, and Hawaii.
In 2002 she developed and directed the first Annual California
Sculptors Symposium in Cambria, California.
Owner of 2 galleries - In Malibu and Channel Islands Harbor,
Ca. plus nation wide art publishing business.
She has taught art in the public schools and at workshops throughout
throughout California, the Northwest and Hawaii.
Recently, Fayrene has illustrated and written the first in a series of
Childrenʼs Books teaching the wonders of ecological habitats and the creatures
that live there through adventure and art lessons.
