His art has been collected by celebrities and discerning
rug collectors throughout the world. His art is currently featured in
countless Mexican design and interior decorating books and has made the
cover of Architectural Digest Magazine 3 times. Sergio brings a one of
a kind style to rug making that is unique and outside the realm of mass-produced,
commercial and machine made rugs. Each piece is original and hand woven
with the finest churro wool and natural and Swiss aniline dyes. Sergio’s
original designs are influenced and inspired by many ethnic cultures
besides his own, including: Guatemalan, Bolivian, Navajo, Zuni, Hopi
and the Showa tribe in Zaire, Africa.
I am pleased to present the centuries old legacy
of weaving. Each step in the making of a rug is completely and
skillfully hand done with the best assortment of meticulously
selected natural dyes and designs which make each rug an exceptional
masterpiece.
