Her mission is to bring serenity and joy to a world
full of stress. Her abstract works are the sublime reflection of that
theme. Often she uses the same model and pose to create both a realistic
sculpture and an abstract one. She finds it stimulating and exciting
to think from different parts of her brain. She feels it keeps her work
fresh and her compositions stronger.
Cinthia has a natural talent for sculpting, and has sculpted since
a small child. She artist has a passion for animals as well as the human
figure. Malibu was an undiscovered country haven then and much of her
time was spent with her five brothers and sisters and their numerous
and varied animals. Entertainment consisted of all kinds of art projects.
They basically created everything they had, including dolls, clothes,
forts, gardens, and interior décor.
She has recently installed a dynamic monument of a whale at a whale
watching museum called the Point Vicente Interpretive Center at a
magnificent location atop the cliffs of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
Cinthia has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UCLA, and furthered her
education at UCLA Extension in Interior Design. She had her own
business for
25 years creating elf dolls which she sold all over the country
in boutiques
and stores such as Neiman Marcus. She gave up The Royal Elferie
to pursue her dreams as a full time professional sculptor and painter.
She has
since studied under various masters including John Coleman, Sandy
Scott, Lincoln Fox, Richard MacDonald and Peter Rubino.
Cinthia has been awarded several prizes in national juried shows
for her work and is represented by the following art galleries:
Art Design Resources, Carson, CA
Courtyard Gallery, Half Moon Bay, CA
For Art’s Sake Gallery, Taos, NM
Judith Hale Gallery of Fine Art, Los Olivos |
