Born
in Texas in 1951, Jesse has lived his life close to the land. At four,
his family moved to Lancaster, California and at twelve, to Santa Maria,
California. After high school, he felt the urge to explore new surroundings
and moved to Oregon. There he spent two years breaking wild horses and
bucking hay. He returned to Santa Maria, started his welding business,
married, and eventually had three children.
Jesse
says he has always been interested in metal art and now shares his mastery
of welding in the creation of humorous and appealing sculptures of birds,
turtles and other animal life. With a broad grin, he states, "Now
metal art is my life!"
