Art
studies include High School, College, classes offered by Masters Grant
Speed and Peter Rubino at the Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona, field
trips to Korea and Japan, and various correspondence classes. Essentially
self-taught in the art of woodcarving, Bill also utilizes the results
of a lengthy Smithsonian Museum study into why 6000 year-old wood carvings
have withstood the ravages of time. Accordingly, all of Bill's work incorporates
this unique wax finish
"If Egyptian wood-carvings can
last six thousand years, their wood finishing process is good enough for
me."
Bill
has won four People's Choice Awards, 16 Best of Show Awards, 45+ First
Place Blue Ribbons and has been the featured artist at five major art
shows.
