Vicki Catapano Vicki Catapano is a third generation Californian, a professional artist for over 35 years, and an alumni of Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo, California. It is her portraits of Native American children and young adults that are her favorite subjects, because she says, “they are so uninhibited, innocent and fresh”. Somewhere between her initial concept and the finished piece, Vicki responds with a sensitivity, emotional involvement, sense of humor and her overall composition and design are combined to create an unforgettable art experience. Vicki has participated in several recognized shows including: Artist’s Magazine Annual Art Competition, the Mountain Oyster Club show in Tucson, Arizona, the Crocker-Kingsley Art Exhibition, Crocker Museum Sacramento, California, the annual Mother Lode National Art Exhibition, and American women Artist’s National Competition in Taos, New Mexico. She has won several “Best Of Show” awards including a Gold Medal in oil and acrylic at the Western Art Roundup in Winnemucca, Nevada, and Best of Show 37th Annual Mother Lode National Art Exhibition. Vicki’s artwork is currently displayed Mountain Trails Gallery in Sedona, Arizona, Sanders Galleries in Tucson, Arizona and the On-line Judith Hale Gallery in Los Olivos, California. Her work has also been featured in many fine publications including the Western Art Collector, Western Horseman, Nevada Magazine, Ranch and Country Magazine, Kudos, and The Great Southwest Corporate Calendar. |
