Neil Boyle

A commercial illustrator for over 20 years, Boyle now recreates scenes from the past in oils, bronze sculpture and limited edition etchings. Before devoting full time to western art, Neil traveled to South East Asia, Europe, and the United States at the request of the United States Federal Art Program; adding over 30 documentary paintings to the permanent educational collections at the Smithsonian Institute and Pentagon buildings in Washington, D.C. Boyle took his education at the Banff School of Fine Aft in Alberta, Canada and at Chouinard Art Institute and Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He has since taught at both schools in Los Angeles and has held associate professorship at the University of California at Long Beach and Northridge. Neil Boyle is the recipient of the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators Life Achievement Award. His is a Past President of the AICA and is also President and Chairman of the Board of BSWCA.
