Victor’s dedication to sculpting human beings in loving, exquisite, and painstaking detail is deeply rooted in his reasons for being an artist. Each sculpture attempts to depict an athlete or dancer at an instant of peak performance or at rest. He portrays grace as he attempts to freeze such rare moments of time. Faces, hands, and feet are given special attention, as they are the most prominent features in his art.

Victor has shown at the Traditional Artists Show in San Bernadino, CA, the Desert Art Museum in Palm Springs, CA, Art-A-Fair in Laguna Beach. He received 2nd Place at the Hillcrest Invitational Show, and 2nd Place at the Paramount Invitational Show. Victor’s sculpture “Turning Point ” was chosen for a Gold Medal at the Knickerbocker Artists Annual Exhibition at the Salamugundi Club in New York, and again at the Council of American Artists Professional League in New York. He has also shown works at the Pasadena Historical Museum, the venue for The California Art Club’s Annual Gold Medal Exhibition.

The Kalos Kagthos Foundation chose Victor to produce a commemorative bronze sculpture titled the “Oarsman”, which is on permanent display at the Orange Coast College boathouse in Newport Beach. The Foundation recently commissioned a new CIF award for water polo and a high relief bronze oarsman for the David Grant award.

Victor’s sculptures focus on the human form and feature a contrast of highly polished bases, lending excitement to each creation. His more recent sculptures have focused on the study of women in “the dance”.
